Ola Per Andersson (born July 1, 1966 in Åkersberga ) is a former Swedish football player , coach and official. The midfielder , who made two international appearances for the Swedish national team in 1995 , won the Swedish championship with AIK in the 1998 season and won the Swedish Cup three times with the club .

Career

Andersson began playing football at Bälinge IF in 1972 . In 1987 he moved to the second division IF Brommapojkarna . In 1990 he joined the third division club IK Sirius . With the club he was runner-up in Division 2 Norra and was able to prevail in the subsequent promotion games against Varberg's BoIS . After three years in the second division, he had to relegate with the club at the end of the 1993 season.

He remained loyal to the club in the third division for a year before Andersson moved to the Allsvenskan for AIK in the 1995 season. On April 9th of that year he celebrated his debut in the top Swedish division in a 2-0 win at Östers IF and played all 26 games of the season during the season. He was able to recommend himself for the national team and took part in the so-called Umbro Cup in the summer of 1995 with the selection . There he made his debut on June 8 in a 3-3 draw against England when he was substituted on for Magnus Erlingmark in the 89th minute . Two days later he was in the starting line -up in a 2-2 draw against Japan .

Also in the 1996 season , Andersson was a permanent member of his club and never missed a season game. In the same year he was able to win the national cup with the club when Malmö FF was defeated 1-0 after a golden goal . In the following year, the team was able to advance to the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup , where after a 3-1 away defeat and a 1-1 draw in the second leg, the eventual title winners FC Barcelona were too high a hurdle. In the same year the title in the Swedish Cup was defended.

Due to knee problems, however, Andersson had to sit out for a long time after the middle of the season and was only used irregularly in the following year. He can only show five appearances in the 1998 championship season.

1999 succeeded again the victory in the Svenska Cupen. However, the appearance with the team in the 1999/2000 UEFA Champions League is likely to be more important . The club failed in the group stage with only one plus point as bottom of the table behind FC Barcelona , Fiorentina and Arsenal .

On October 15, 2000 Andersson was in his 102nd first division game his farewell in the 1: 2 defeat at Trelleborgs FF . He moved for the 2001 season as a player- coach for the then fourth division club Vasalunds IF , but returned to IK Sirius during the season. At the end of the season he ended his active career.

From 2002 to 2003 Andersson worked as a coach for fourth division club IK Fyris . From 2002 to 2006 he worked as a TV expert at Canal + and SVT. In 2006 he took over the post of sports director at AIK. After the club had repeatedly missed the European Cup in the 2008 season and the coach Rikard Norling , popular with fans, was dismissed, he ended his engagement in November 2008. He then worked again as a TV expert for SVT.
