Olaf Ittenbach
Olaf Ittenbach (born March 21, 1969 in Fürstenfeldbruck ) is a German director of splatter and horror films in the field of independent film .
Career
Olaf Ittenbach's first feature film, Black Past , was made in 1989 and enjoyed success at various film festivals. Together with his childhood friends, he then founded the production company IMAS, which he now runs alone.
In 1992 the second work The Burning Moon appeared . About three months after the release, Ittenbach's house was searched and the film was confiscated nationwide . Ittenbach himself was sentenced to a payment of 5000 DM according to §131 StGB ( glorification of violence ) . However, he made enough money through the distribution of the film to start filming Premutos - The Fallen Angel right away .
The filming took a total of five years. After the finished film was a success in the splatter scene, Ittenbach decided to go into business for himself and to give up his previous job as a dental technician. After Premutos , he shot the small thriller Riverplay and the major production Legion of the Dead in the same year . For the latter he was able to shoot with Matthias Hues in Hollywood, among others .
His next work, Beyond the Limits , was again an independent production with a number of private donors. The subsequent productions Evil Rising , Poison , and a short film collection with Andreas Schnaas and Jörg Buttgereit were not realized. Ittenbach shot his own version of the Roswell video for Stern TV with original film equipment from the 1950s.
Garden of Love was released in 2003 and Chain Reaction in 2005 . In the same year Ittenbach created the special effects for the large-scale production BloodRayne by director Uwe Boll . In 2006 he married Martina Schuster . On their honeymoon they shoot the satirical film Familienradgeber .
2007 appeared with Dard Divorce a return to the independent productions of the early phase. Ittenbach had negotiated worldwide sales with Boll AG. He also took on some special effects for Uwe Boll in his Seed and Tunnel Rats productions . In 2009 Ittenbach turned family wheel encoder 2 . The film No Reason was released in 2010.
Between 2011 and 2013 he completed Savage Love with Dustin Semmelrogge and the crowdfunding project Legend of Hell , which lasted a total of five years.
After finishing the film 5 Seasons - The Five Gates to Hell , Ittenbach works on the sequel Garden of Love: The Second Family , in which he also does the effects again. Furthermore, the completion of his films God Forsaken and Familienradgeber 3 are still pending. These projects are currently on hold.
