Oldřiš ( German Ullersgrün ) is a district of Merklín in the Czech Republic .
geography
Oldřiš is located on the southern steep slope of the Bohemian Ore Mountains not far from Jáchymov at the foot of the Plešiveces .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1273.
Originally, the residents mostly ran agriculture and cattle breeding or, since the 19th century, commuted to the factories in Merkelsgrün, Salmthal or Sankt Joachimsthal.
The largely German population of the place was driven from their homeland after the end of the Second World War. In 1948 Oldřiš was incorporated into Merklín.
