Olena Schurchno ( Ukrainian Олена Шурхно , English transcription Olena Shurkhno, born Самко - Samko ; born January 8, 1978 ) is a Ukrainian marathon runner .

Career

In 2004 she won the Vienna Autumn Marathon and in 2005 the Hasetal Marathon .

In 2006 she won the Linz Marathon in her personal best of 2:39:17 h as well as the Münster Marathon and came second in the Monaco Marathon .

In 2007 she won the Country Music Marathon with a time of 2:37:52 h. The following year she was second in the Country Music Marathon in 2:33:37 h and in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in her personal best of 2:30:13 h.

In 2009 she won the Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon in 2:31:22 h. The following year she managed to win the Baltimore Marathon after a third place in Arizona .

In 2011 she stayed under two and a half hours for the first time: first as fourth in the rock 'n' roll marathon (2:28:34), which was not suitable for the best list because of its slope , then as defending champion in Baltimore (2:29:11 h).

In 2012, Olena Schurchno finished seventh in the Nagoya Marathon and in September set a Ukrainian record as third in the Berlin Marathon with 2:23:32 h.

In 2014, she finished eighth in the Yokohama Marathon , and in 2015 she won the Macau Marathon .
