Oliver Zöllner

Oliver Zöllner (born 1968 ) is a German communications and media scientist and co-founder and director of the Institute for Digital Ethics (IDE).

Life

Oliver Zöllner studied journalism and communication science in Bochum , Vienna and Salzburg . He received his doctorate in Bochum in 1996. Zöllner worked as a media researcher in 1996/97 at Südwestfunk in Baden-Baden and from 1997 to 2004 as a department head at Deutsche Welle in Cologne / Bonn . From 1996 he received regular teaching assignments at universities.

Zöllner has been Professor of Media Management at the Stuttgart Media University (HdM) since 2006 , where he heads the Institute for Digital Ethics. He has also been an honorary professor for communication and media studies at the University of Düsseldorf since 2006 .

At the Hochschule der Medien, Oliver Zöllner founded the Institute for Digital Ethics together with Petra Grimm and Tobias Keber in 2013 .
