Olivier Alexander Vernon (* 7. October 1990 in Miami , Florida ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Cleveland Browns as the defensive end . He was previously under contract with the Miami Dolphins and the New York Giants .
college
Vernon attended the University of Miami and successfully played college football for their team, the Hurricanes, between 2009 and 2011 . In 30 games he was able to set a total of 81 tackles and score 9.0 sacks .
NFL
Miami Dolphins
Vernon was selected 72nd overall by the Miami Dolphins in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft and received a four-year contract worth $ 2.84 million and $ 630,080 in hand money ( Signing Bonus ). Already in his rookie season he was able to establish himself as a professional and was used in all games, scoring 3.5 sacks . In the following season he ran for the first time as a starter and became a reliable support of his team's defense. Since he was spared injuries, he came in the four years with the Dolphins in every game.
New York Giants
In 2016, Vernon joined the New York Giants, where he signed a five-year contract worth $ 85 million, of which 52.5 were guaranteed.
