Olszewo-Borki is a village in the powiat Ostrołęcki in the Masovian Voivodeship , Poland . The place is also the seat of the rural community of the same name ( Gmina wiejska ).

Olszewo-Borki is located about 100 km northeast of Warsaw on the Narew .
history
The first mention of Olszewo-Borki comes from the fourteenth century. Janusz I. Starszy sold land towards the end of the fourteenth century, and Olszewo was also affected. The first mention of Olszewo comes from this sale. The name of the place is derived from the Olszewski family. With the relapse of the Duchy of Mazovia to the Kingdom of Poland , the place came back to the Kingdom of Poland. In 1807, 1830 and 1914/15 the village was destroyed in fighting. After the Second World War, Olszewo-Borki became the seat of a Gromada .
From 1975 to 1998 the village belonged to the Ostrołęka Voivodeship .

The municipality has an area of 195.00 km². 50% of the municipal area is used for agriculture, 43% is covered with forest.
history
In autumn 1939 there was a mass killing of more than 1000 people by German troops near the village of Żebry-Chudek and they were buried in the local forests. In order to cover up the traces, the dead were dug up again in 1944.

These are: Antonie, Białobrzeg Bliższy, Białobrzeg Dalszy, Chojniki, Dobrołęka, Drężewo, Działyń, Grabowo, Grabnik, Grabówek, Grądzik, Kordowo, Kruki, Łazy, Mostowozje, Borki-Rorki, Olorkzi, Nowzewo, Nożewo, Nakłs, Nożewo Rżaniec, Stepna-Michałki, Stepna Stara, Wyszel, Zabrodzie, Zabiele Wielkie, Zabiele Piliki, Żebry-Ostrowy I, Żebry-Ostrowy II, Żebry-Chudek, Żebry-Sławki, Żebry-Stara Wieś, Żzch- Perry-Wier, Żebry-Żabin, Żerań Duży and Żerań Mały.
