The People's Democratic Republic of Yemen participated in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul , South Korea , with a delegation of five athletes (all men). It was the only participation in the Summer Olympics. After South Yemen was united with North Yemen, Yemen first took part in the Olympic Games as a united nation in 1992.
