Uzbekistan took part in the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway for the first time as an independent state in the Winter Olympics.

Uzbek athletes, however, had already participated in the 1992 Winter Games as part of the United Team .

In Lillehammer, Uzbekistan won the first and so far only medal at the Winter Olympics.
