The men's Alpine Combination at the 1998 Winter Olympics was held from February 9th to 13th in Hakuba in the Happo One ski area .
The race consisted of one downhill run and two slalom runs, from which all three times resulted in the total time. The downhill run was supposed to take place first, but due to the weather the slalom was held first.
Olympic champion was Mario Reiter from Austria. Lasse Kjus from Norway won silver and Reiters compatriot Christian Mayer won bronze .
