Finn Christian Jagge (born April 4, 1966 in Stabekk ; † July 8, 2020 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian ski racer .

biography

Finn Christian Jagge was a son of tennis player Finn Dag Jagge and his wife, tennis player and alpine skier Liv Jagge-Christiansen .

In the Ski World Cup, he achieved seven World Cup victories in slalom. The highlight of his career was the Olympic victory in slalom at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville . He was then honored with the Morgenbladet gold medal in his home country . In 2000 he ended his career as a ski racer.

From 2005 to 2007 Jagge was a trainer for the Norwegian women's alpine team, then worked for the Norwegian mobile entrepreneur Ludo and then started working as a recruiter . In 2011 he won the third season of the reality show Mesternes mester on the Norwegian broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK). Until his death he worked as an expert on ski broadcasts for the private broadcaster TV 2 .

Jagge died on July 8, 2020 after a brief, serious illness at the age of 54. He leaves behind his wife Trine-Lise Jagge and two children.
