The Omersbach arises above the small town Omersbach from a small source. The brook flows through the village and feeds the village pond. Below Omersbach the brook reaches a narrow valley, the foothills of the Teufelsgrund .

The only larger stream that flows into the Omersbach is the Falkenbach . From here on some maps show different recordings in which the Omersbach flows into the Falkenbach . The historical documents of the Teufelsmühle, however, say that the Omersbach fed the three mills . The location of the Obere Teufelsmühle was below the confluence of the two streams. In particularly dry months, when the water level of the Omersbach was too low, an artificially created ditch ensured that the water from the Geiselbach, which flows about 10 m deeper, ran the middle and lower mills. In the vicinity of their former position it finally flows into the Geiselbach .
