In the 2016/17 season , he competed for the first time in a single race in the World Cup on November 26, 2016. At the Gunderson competition on the large hill in Ruka , he collected his first World Cup points with his 27th place. With these four points, he finished 64th in the overall Nordic Combined World Cup at the end of the season.
He took part in the 2018 Junior World Championships in Kandersteg , Switzerland , and won the gold medal in the Gundersen competition on the normal hill and over 10 kilometers on January 30, 2018. In addition, he was able for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang qualify and was from Český výbor olympijský for the Olympic Games qualified. In the individual competitions on the normal hill and the large hill, he finished 34th and 37th. On February 22nd, 2018 he started the team competition with Tomáš Portyk , Lukáš Daněk and Miroslav Dvořák . The quartet finished eighth at the end of the competition.
At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld , he took 36th place in the Gundersen individual on the normal hill and 40th place on the large hill. He finished ninth with the team.
In the summer of 2019, Pažout regularly reached the points in the Grand Prix . His best individual placement was twelfth place in the Gundersen Singles in Planica . In the overall standings, he finished 23rd. At the beginning of October he became Czech champion ahead of Tomáš Portyk and Lukáš Daněk .
