Loomis, who starts for the Flying Eagles Ski Club , made his international debut in the Continental Cup in December 2014 , but missed the points in the two competitions based on the Gundersen method in Park City . He reached this for the first time a year later with a 16th place in the winter sports area Soldier Hollow . A day later, in fourth place, he narrowly missed the podium.
After being used in team competitions, Loomis finally made his debut in an individual competition in the World Cup in December 2016 . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he only reached the lower ranks in the individual and also in the team he finished in tenth place together with Taylor Fletcher , Ben Berend and Bryan Fletcher .
Loomis won his first World Cup point in January 2019 in Trondheim . After three more points in Klingenthal , he finished the World Cup season in 64th place. Since he had joined the US Army, Loomis only competed in an international competition in the Continental Cup competitions in Park City in mid-December 2019 . After a mixed first day of competition, he finished fifth twice on the following days.

His older brother Adam was also active as a Nordic combined skier. In April 2019, Good enlisted in the Utah Army National Guard , where he was accepted into the World Class Athlete Program for excellence.
