Oscar Azarcon Solis (born October 13, 1953 in San Jose City , Philippines ) is a Filipino clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Salt Lake City .
Life
Oscar Azarcon Solis received the sacrament of ordination for the Diocese of Cabanatuan on April 28, 1979 . On June 17, 1992 Oscar Azarcon Solis was incardinated in the clergy of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux .
On 11 December 2003 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Urci and auxiliary bishop in Los Angeles. The Archbishop of Los Angeles, Roger Michael Cardinal Mahony , donated him episcopal ordination on February 10, 2004 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Houma-Thibodaux, Sam Gallip Jacobs , and the Bishop of Lafayette , Charles Michael Jarrell .
Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Salt Lake City on January 10, 2017 . The inauguration took place on March 7th of the same year.
