Oskar Popp
Oskar Popp (born April 12, 1875 in Leipzig ; † 1945 ). was a German painter, draftsman and set designer.
Popp studied painting at the Royal Art Academy in Dresden . Then he went on a study trip to Italy .
In 1904 he took part in the Munich annual exhibition in the Glaspalast .
In 1907 he co-founded the artists' association “Mappe” in Dresden, which arose as a spin-off from the Dresdner Kunstgenossenschaft, and took part in their special exhibition in the Emil Richter art salon together with Edmund Körner , Franz Kunz , Karl Quarck , Karl Theodor Eichler and Otto Petrenz . In 1908 he exhibited at the Great Art Exhibition in Dresden.
Popp created wall paintings in the König-Albert-Bad in Plauen , as well as in Berlin , Dresden and Görlitz .
Later he worked as a set designer and graphic artist in Hildesheim . In 1915 he was employed as a teacher at the Hildesheim School of Applied Arts.
