Oskar v. Sod

Oskar Freiherr von Soden (born February 27, 1831 in Ellwangen (Jagst) , † May 10, 1906 in Munich ) was a German diplomat .

Life

Soden studied at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . He was reciprocated on March 2, 1850 in the Corps Rhenania Tübingen . He distinguished himself as a consenior . Adolf von Hausch was active with him . Retired from the university in 1852, he became legation secretary in Munich in 1856 . In 1858 he married Therese Freiin Drechsel on Deufstetten. In 1865 he became envoy of the Kingdom of Württemberg in the Grand Duchy of Baden (Karlsruhe) with his official seat in Munich. In 1866 (the year of the German War ) he came to Dresden as a legation counselor . At the end of the year he returned to Karlsruhe as chargé d'affaires from the Kingdom of Saxony . From January 1867 to October 1868 he was the extraordinary Wuerttemberg envoy to the Grand Duchy of Hesse-Darmstadt . In 1868 he became a go. Appointed Legation Councilor and Extraordinary Wuerttemberg Envoy in Munich. The embassy has always been a one-man operation. In Munich v. Soden 1889 the character as Real. Go Council with the predicate excellence . On May 1, 1906, he retired at the age of 75. He died nine days later.
