history

The ship was built in 1969 under construction number 1283 at the Husum shipyard . The launch took place on June 26th of that year.

The ship, which is a sister ship of Andreas Gayk , which formerly belonged to Kieler Verkehrs AG , was used by the Förde shipping company on butter trips between Flensburg and the Danish Ærøskøbing as well as for excursions on the Flensburg Fjord .

In 1975 and 1976 it was used for the Friesland shipping company in Emden for butter trips between Emden and Delfzijl , after which it went back to the Baltic Sea, this time between Strande and Sønderborg .

In April 1978 the Baltic Sea was chartered to the shipping company Peter Deilmann , who used it between Orth and Rødbyhavn .

Carelia

The ship was launched in November 1985 and finally sold to Finland at the end of 1986 . Since then, the ship has been sailing under the Finnish flag as Carelia .
