Otto Lederer (* 11. October 1970 in Rosenheim ) is a German politician ( CSU ), former member of the Bavarian Parliament and since May 2020 District Administrator of the district of Rosenheim

Career

Lederer is a trained high school teacher for mathematics and physics as well as the former mayor of the Tuntenhausen community .

Otto Lederer first attended the Ostermünchen elementary school and then switched to the Bad Aibling grammar school in 1981 . There he graduated from high school in 1990 and then did his basic military service with the 5th Mountain Pioneer Battalion 8 in Brannenburg . From 1991 to 1996 Lederer studied mathematics and physics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich for teaching at grammar schools and passed the second state examination in 1998 after completing his legal clerkship. From 1998 to 2002 he worked first at the Neuhof Schools in Munich and then at the Ignaz-Günther-Gymnasium in Rosenheim , most recently as a teacher.

Furthermore, Lederer is married and has three children.

Political career

In the local elections in 1996, Lederer was elected to the municipality of Tuntenhausen for the first time. It was through this honorary position that Otto Lederer found his way to the CSU in 1997. From 1999 to 2005 he was also a member of the JU . From 2002 to 2013 Lederer was first mayor of the municipality of Tuntenhausen. Since 2002 he has been a member of the district council in the Rosenheim district. In 2008 he was elected chairman of the CSU district parliamentary group. In addition, Lederer holds various offices within the CSU district association Rosenheim-Land.

Since 2013, Lederer has been the CSU member of the state parliament for the Rosenheim-West constituency . In the 18th electoral term he is a member of the Committee on Education and Culture and the Committee on Local Issues, Internal Security and Sport.

In the local elections on March 15, 2020, Lederer ran for the office of district administrator of the Rosenheim district. In the first ballot he was able to unite the most votes with 41.1%. In the runoff election on March 30, 2020, he prevailed against his challenger Ursula Zeitlmann (GREEN) with 68.8%. His term of office began on May 1, 2020. Ludwig Spaenle replaced him in the state parliament.

Volunteering

Otto Lederer volunteers as deputy chairman of the Catholic men's association in Tuntenhausen, as well as the volunteer fire brigade in Ostermünchen and the traditional costume association “Almarausch”. He is also a member of the VdK, the AWO, the traditional costume association "Eichenlaub" Schönau and the local associations in Ostermünchen such as B. the sports club, the fruit and horticultural club, the maypole club and the warrior and soldier club.
