Otto Leopold von Beeß

Otto Leopold of Beeß even Beess , Bees or Beß of Cölln , since 1705 Baron since 1721 Graf , (* 15 / 18th November 1690 ; † 17th January 1761 in Berlin ) was a Prussian Minister .

Life

Origin and family

Otto Leopold came from the Silesian noble family von Beeß . His parents were Carl Otto Beeß Freiherr von Coelln (1660–1708), heir to Löwen in the Principality of Brieg , and Maria Helena von Posadowsky, Freiin von Postelwitz.

Several children arose from his marriage to Erdmuthe Sophie Eleonora Freiin Skrbenska von Hrzistie (Skrbenský von Hříště) (1700–1756):

  • Johann Gottlieb Otto Graf von Bees (1718–1778), Prussian chamberlain, ⚭ Josepha Countess von Sinzendorff
  • Maximilian Erdmann Count of Bees (* 1720)
  • Louisa Helena Elonora Countess von Bees († 1753)

Career

Otto Leopold von Beeß was registered at the University of Halle since October 1707 . In 1736 he became imperial chamberlain and in 1741 changed to Prussian services as a real secret council as well as minister of state and war or authorized minister at the Saxon court in Dresden . In the same year he became a Knight of the Black Eagle Order . In 1745 he succeeded Gustav Adolf von Gotter (1692–1762) as Prussian high court marshal .

Beeß was the chief district judge and state chancellor of the Principality of Teschen and heir to Nieder-Lischna , Löwen and Lindenberg

Ennoblement

Otto Leopold of Beeß was in the realm baron and 1,721 in 1705 erbländisch-Austrian count conditions raised .
