Otto Oberdrevermann

Otto Oberdrevermann (born March 7, 1882 in Sevinghausen ; † December 21, 1942 in Bottrop ) was a German lawyer and politician ( NSDAP ) who was the executive mayor of Bottrop.

Life

After passing his matriculation examination at the grammar school in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Oberdrevermann completed a law degree at the universities of Freiburg im Breisgau, Berlin and Münster, which he passed at the end of August 1906 with the first state examination in law. He then worked as a one-year volunteer and then a trainee lawyer at the Hamm Higher Regional Court until he passed the second state law examination in November 1911. He then worked as a legal assistant in the Eickel office and in the Wanne office, where he finally became an alderman. He took part in the First World War and was discharged from the army as a reserve lieutenant after the war . At the beginning of April 1926 he became the first alderman of the city of Wanne-Eickel .

At the time of National Socialism , at the beginning of October 1933, he was appointed provisional first alderman and treasurer in Bottrop and a few weeks later mayor. From the end of December 1934 to March 1935 and from mid-December 1941 until his death a year later he was the executive mayor of Bottrop. Oberdrevermann was a member of the NSDAP and worked for the party as a local group organization leader in Bottrop-Donnerberg.
