Otto Schober
Otto Schober (born May 30, 1935 in Bamberg ; † January 16, 2010 ) was a German linguist , educator and didactician .
Life
Otto Schober studied after graduating from high school in Bamberg the subjects German , English literature and psychology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the University of Würzburg , where he completed both state examinations for teachers at secondary schools. He worked as a grammar school teacher and completed an extra-occupational degree in education and philosophy at the University of Erlangen. In 1972, he was there with the work of "current basic problems Literaturdidaktik" to Dr. phil. PhD . After teaching at the Universities of Würzburg and Eichstätt he received in 1979, he a reputation on the Chair for the Teaching of German language and literature at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg with focus for teaching at primary, secondary schools and High schools. He was a member of the interdisciplinary institute for anthropological-historical educational research at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. In 2000 he was retired .
From 2001 until his death he taught as emeritus the subject "Didactics of the mother tongue" at the educational science faculty Bressanone of the Free University of Bolzano . Among other things, he was committed to the International Society for Historical and Systematic Textbook Research
Schober has published numerous works in his specialist field of language, but also on topics such as body language . He was co-author and co-editor of school books and already excelled as a school book researcher in 1977 with the fundamental practice-oriented work "Studienbuch Literaturdidaktik".
He was a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Cheruscia Würzburg in the CV . Otto Schober was married and had two children.
