Mehmet Ozan Tahtaişleyen (born January 18, 1985 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player.

Career

Club career

Mehmet Ozan Tahtaişleyen started club football in the youth of Beşiktaş Istanbul . In 2004 he signed his first professional contract with Beşiktaş, he continued to play exclusively for the reserve team.

In spring 2005 he then moved to the first division club Gaziantepspor . Here he almost always played for the reserve team and was only used in one league game. The 2006/07 season he played on loan from the second division Uşakspor . The next season he returned to Gaziantepspor and stayed here without being used until the winter break.

For the second half of the season he then moved to the second division Kartalspor . For the new season he left his new club and went to the third division Pendikspor .

After a season at Pendikspor, he moved again within the league. This time to the Central Anatolian club Elazığspor . Here he celebrated in his first season with this club the championship of the TFF 2nd Lig and thus the direct promotion to the TFF 1st Lig . He also played regularly in the 2011/12 season. On the penultimate matchday, they made the safe promotion to the Süper Lig .

For the 2012/13 season he moved to the second division Kayseri Erciyesspor . With this club he celebrated the second division championship at the end of the season and rose to the Süper Lig . Since his expiring contract was not extended, he was hired for the coming season at the second division Şanlıurfaspor . A few weeks later, his move to Adanaspor was announced. In summer 2015 he moved to city and league rival Adana Demirspor . A season later he was committed by the second division Altınordu Izmir .

In the winter transfer period 2016/17 he returned to Elazığspor, but left him after half a season for league rivals Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor . Here, too, he only stayed half a season and then moved on to Istanbul third division club Tuzlaspor .

National team

Mehmet Ozan Tahtaişleyen started playing for the Turkish national youth teams at an early age. From the U-15 he went through almost all youth teams.

In 2004 he made it to the finals with the Turkish U-19 at the U-19 European Football Championship in 2004 . Here they failed after a 1-0 defeat against the Spanish U-19s and became vice-European champions of the U-19s.
