Ozark Mountain AVA is a wine-growing region in the US state of Arkansas recognized by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives since July 2, 1986 .

The vineyards are distributed over the north-west of Arkansas, the south of Missouri and the north-east of Oklahoma . As the sixth largest American Viticultural Area in the United States, 1,424,493 hectares were defined as the Ozark Mountain AVA. In order to take into account the idea of ​​the terroir, five smaller sub-regions have been defined so far (as of 2008). The unique features of the subregions are the respective climate , the nature of the soil and various parameters that are due to the geographical location.
