Pálmi Rafn Pálmason (born November 9, 1984 ) is an Icelandic football player . The midfielder , who made his debut for the Icelandic national team in 2008 , won both the Icelandic and Norwegian championship titles.

Career

Career start and championship title in Iceland

Pálmi started his career at Völsungur ÍF . With the fourth division team at the time, he made it to the third-class 2nd deild in 2001 , where he finished fourth with the team. Even higher-class they became aware of him after six goals in 18 league games and in 2003 he joined KA Akureyri in the Urvalsdeild .

At his new club Pálmi found himself in the relegation battle of the first division. In the first year he contributed with four goals this season to ensure that the team occupied the last non-relegation place in the league. The following year she was only last in the table, but he remained loyal to the club in the second division. There he scored ten of the team's 40 league goals. Since the rise was missed as third in the table, he moved back to the Icelandic House of Lords and signed a contract with Valur Reykjavík .

Ultimately, in July 2008, Pálmi decided to move to Stabæk Fotball in the Norwegian Tippeligaen , with whom he signed a three and a half year contract. Here he acted mainly as a substitute in his first season, but was able to contribute with two goals in nine league appearances to win the championship for the first time in the history of the club from Bærum .
