The Ecclesiastical Pedagogical University Edith Stein (KPH Edith Stein) provides basic, advanced and advanced training for teachers for the primary level as well as for the secondary level and other educational and social professional fields. As a private pedagogical university, it is a state-recognized educational institution in the post-secondary or tertiary sector according to the Austrian Higher Education Act 2005.
history
On October 1, 2007, the Edith Stein Ecclesiastical Pedagogical University was established. Six long-standing institutions for teacher and religious education teacher training, further education and training have been integrated nationwide. The roots of the first teacher training go back to the 19th century.

The KPH Edith Stein is a legal entity from the University Foundation of the Diocese of Innsbruck in cooperation of three dioceses, the Archdiocese of Salzburg and the dioceses of Innsbruck and Feldkirch , jointly built and guided College of Education with state recognition under § 4 Higher Education Act of 2005.
KPH Edith Stein operates nationwide at four locations in Feldkirch , Innsbruck , Salzburg and Stams . The rectorate is located in Innsbruck. Basic, advanced and advanced training takes place at six institutes:

- Institute for Religious Education - Diocese Feldkirch (IRPB Feldkirch), Feldkirch location
- Institute for Religious Education - Archdiocese of Salzburg (IRPB Salzburg), location Salzburg
