The Põhimaantee 8 (National Road 8) is a highway in Estonia .
course
The road, also known as Tallinn-Paldiski maantee , leads from the state capital Tallinn via Keila (where the Tallinn Ring Põhimaantee 11 meets it) to the port city of Paldiski (German: Baltischport), which was closed until 1994 . From there there is a ferry connection to the Swedish ferry port Kapellskär .
The length of the road is around 47 km.
history
During Estonia's membership of the Soviet Union, the road was designated A205. The designation as European route 265 was proposed in 2008, but implementation for Põhimaantee 8 (unlike Põhimaantee 11 ) has not yet been proven.
