Lahe is a village ( Estonian küla ) in southeast Estonia . It belongs to the Põlva Municipality (until 2017 Laheda ) in the Põlva County .

Population and location

The village has 71 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located eleven kilometers northwest of the city of Võru .

Good Põlgaste

The village of Põlgaste (German Pölks ) was first mentioned in 1628 under the name Poelcks . In the second half of the 17th century it was separated from Krootuse (German Köllitz ) as an independent estate .

The single-storey mansion was built in the last quarter of the 18th century in the style of early classicism . A portico was added to the stone building with its high roof at the beginning of the 19th century . There are also some outbuildings and the four-hectare park nearby.
