The cat, loved by Amun (, son of Bastet , God, ruler of Thebes )

Pami , also Pemu , was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh (king) of the 22nd Dynasty ( Third Intermediate Period ). His reign is around 825/813 to 816/804 BC. To apply.

family

Pami is the third son and successor of Scheschonq III. and the Tanetamunipet. He is the father of his successor Scheschonq V , brother of the Crown Prince and regent of Athribis and Heliopolis , Bakennefi II. Other brothers are Paschedbastet, Takelot II. And Padebehenbastet, high priest of Amun in Tanis .

supporting documents

Maybe Pami is even before his reign by a sculpture of a leader of Meshwesh -Libyer, Pamiu, son of the Lord of the two countries, Sheshonq-Meriamun in Sais witnessed. On a stele of the Serapeum from the 2nd year of Pamis, the death of the old and the installation of a new Apis animal is recorded. The Brooklyn Oracle Papyrus is believed to be part of his government. On a votive stele from Memphis , the sixth year is mentioned as the highest of his reign. There is very little evidence of Pami structurally ( not at all in Thebes ).

His grave

He was probably buried in grave II of the royal necropolis of Tanis.
