LEDA / PGC 12491 (also UGC 2687) is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 504 million light years from the Milky Way .
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1289 , NGC 1298 , NGC 1305 , IC 314 .
