LEDA / PGC 3035 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sm in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 563 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter .

The object is also known as IC 56A due to certain similarities with the optically relatively nearby galaxy IC 56 .
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 283 , NGC 284 , NGC 285 , NGC 286 .
