LEDA / PGC 38799 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sab with extensive star formation areas in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 87 million light years away from the Milky Way and forms the IC 764 group ( LGG 271 ) together with ten other galaxies .
The galaxies IC 764 , IC 3005 , IC 3010 , IC 3015 are located in the same area of the sky .
