action

A simple man named Bhola has fallen in love with the neighboring daughter, Bindu. To impress her, he wants to sing something to her. Problem: Bhola cannot sing and asks his friend Vidyapathi, a famous singer, to help him. While Bhola now moves his mouth, Vidyapathi sings hidden in the background. Bindu is delighted and falls in love with Bhola.

Bindu's music teacher Master Pillai is also secretly in love with his student and even asks for her hand. But Bindu loves Bhola and rejects his proposal.

One day, Bindu learns of Bhola's lie and leaves him disappointed. Out of anger, she now wants to marry Master Pillai. While both are in the middle of preparing for the wedding, Bhola is making plans to win back Bindu.

On the wedding day, Vidyapathi has an idea. He pretends that Bhola has committed suicide and adds a suicide note. Then he tells Bindu about the incident and can convince her. Immediately she runs to Bhola and reads the letter. She regrets ever leaving him and wants to shake him awake. Bhola wakes up and, with Master Pillai's consent, the two can marry.
