Paisley North was a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies in the West of Scotland constituency , which was redesigned and renamed West Scotland as part of the constituency revision in 2011 . Here the constituency of Paisley North was abolished. It included the towns of Paisley (northern districts) and Renfrew and other parts of the Renfrewshire Council Area . In the 2001 census survey, a total of 60,264 people lived within its borders. The area was divided into the new constituencies of Paisley and Renfrewshire North and West . The constituency sent a deputy.
