Strathkelvin and Bearsden is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies in the West of Scotland constituency , which was redesigned and renamed West Scotland as part of the constituency revision in 2011 . The southeast border of Strathkelvin and Bearsden was changed slightly. The constituency includes Bearsden , Bishopbriggs and Kirkintilloch and other areas of the East Dunbartonshire Council Area and sends one MP.

The constituency covers an area of ​​145.7 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 77,881 people lived within its borders.
