Renfrewshire South is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced as part of the constituencies' reorganization in 2011 as one of ten constituencies in the West Scotland electoral region that emerged from the West of Scotland electoral region . The constituency of Renfrewshire South comprises parts of East Renfrewshire and Renfrewshire including the urban areas of Johnstone and Barrhead . The constituency sends a representative.
The constituency covers an area of 167.8 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 67,814 people lived within its borders.
