Paisley is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced as part of the constituencies' reorganization in 2011 as one of ten constituencies in the West Scotland electoral region that emerged from the West of Scotland electoral region . The constituency of Paisley comprises the urban area of Paisley and areas of the Renfrewshire Council Area , largely replacing the counties of Paisley North and Paisley South . The constituency sends a representative.

The constituency extends over an area of ​​48.4 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 71,384 people lived within its borders.
