Cunninghame Northe is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies in the West of Scotland constituency , which was redesigned and renamed West Scotland as part of the constituency revision in 2011 . Small changes were made to the boundaries of the Cunninghame North constituency. The constituency comprises the northern areas of the North Ayrshire Council Area including the islands of Arran , Great Cumbrae and Little Cumbrae . The largest cities within the borders are Ardrossan , Largs and Saltcoats . Together with Cunninghame South , Cunninghame North completely covers the areas of North Ayrshire. The constituency sends a representative.
The constituency covers an area of 774.8 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 71,683 people lived within its borders.
