Greenock and Inverclyde is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies in the West of Scotland constituency , which was redesigned and renamed West Scotland as part of the constituency revision in 2011 . The boundaries of the constituency of Greenock and Inverclyde were redrawn. The constituency includes areas of the Council Area Inverclyde with the cities of Gourock and Greenock and since 2011 also Port Glasgow . A representative is sent.
The constituency extends over an area of 74.6 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 76,221 people lived within its borders.
