Palais Neuhaus
The Palais Neuhaus ( Romanian Palatul Neuhausz ), also Neuhaus Castle , or Neuhaus Palace , is a listed three-story building on Piața Victoriei in the western Romanian city of Timișoara .
description
The palace was built in an eclectic style with elements of Baroque and Art Nouveau ( Vienna Secession ) by the architect László Székely in 1912. He built several palaces standing on the Piața Victoriei, including the Hotel Timișoara , the Palais Dauerbach , the Palais Hilt & Vogel , and the Palais Széchényi .
The Palais Neuhaus is characterized by the symmetry of the building and its facade design is based on the Lloyd-Palais . The protruding middle part of the facade ends with a rounded gable, which is provided with a copper roof. There is an oval window in the center of the pediment. The Cadouri gift shop is located on the ground floor of the building .
