Palca ( also Alto Tiraque "A" ) is a street village in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Palca is the central location of the canton of Palca in the municipality of Tiraque in the province of Tiraque . The village is located at an altitude of 3101  m in the mountain range of the Cordillera Oriental on the right, northern bank of the Río Paracaya , which largely seeps away downstream in the agricultural region around Punata due to agricultural use.

The climate of the region is a typical time of day climate , in which the temperature differences during the day are significantly greater than the differences between the seasons.

From Tiraque via Palca the Camino RN4 Colomi-Tiraque leads 14 kilometers northwest to Ruta 4 , from the road junction it is 27 kilometers west to Sacaba and from there another 16 kilometers to Cochabamba.
