Pampa El Costal is a town in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Pampa El Costal is the ninth largest town in the municipality of Cabezas in the Cordillera province . The village is located at an altitude of 770  m in a densely wooded mountain area between the Río Piraí and the Río Grande .

Pampa El Costal is located in the Bolivian lowlands southeast of the Bolivian Cordillera Oriental in the area of ​​the subtropical climate and is characterized by a half-year dry season that extends from May to October.

Pampa El Costal is located 76 kilometers by road south of Santa Cruz , the capital of the department.

From the center of Santa Cruz, the paved national road Ruta 7 leads as a four-lane "Avenida Grigota" in a south-westerly direction via the cities of El Carmen , La Guardia and El Torno to Tiquipaya and on via La Angostura , Samaipata and Comarapa to Cochabamba .
