Pampin is a district of the municipality of Ziegendorf in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The place belongs to the office Parchimer Umland . Until its reclassification to the municipality of Ziegendorf on August 1, 1992, Pampin belonged to the municipality of Berge in what was then the district of Perleberg in Brandenburg .

location

Pampin is located 18 kilometers south of Parchim on a southern foothill of the Ruhner Mountains . In the south and east, Pampin borders directly on the state of Brandenburg. Surrounding villages are Drefahl in the north, the Brandenburg villages Muggerkuhl in the east and Grenzheim in the south-east, Platschow in the south-west, Brunow in the west and Bauerkuhl in the north-west.

Pampin is on Landesstraße 82 and Landesstraße 84 that branches off there.

history

Pampin was first mentioned in a document in 1410 in a feudal letter . The village was historically agricultural.

Since 1952 Pampin belonged to the district Perleberg in the GDR district Schwerin . On May 1, 1973, Pampin and the neighboring communities of Platschow and Grenzheim were incorporated into Berge . After the reunification, the place came to the state of Brandenburg and was there in the district of Perleberg. On August 1, 1992, the districts of Pampin and Platschow were reclassified into the municipality of Ziegendorf , which also meant a change to the Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

From 1994 to September 4, 2011 Pampin belonged to the Parchim district , since then the place has been in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district . Pampin belongs to the Parchimer Umland Office , which was newly established on July 1, 2004 .
