Panasonic ( Japanese パ ナ ソ ニ ッ ク , Panasonikku ) is, like Technics and National , one of the trade names or brands of Panasonic KK (before October 1, 2008 Matsushita Denki Sangyō KK ) based in Kadoma ( Osaka Prefecture , Japan ).
PanSonic
The word creation PanSonic developed by Matsushita was created in 1955 as the name for a loudspeaker for sale . The parts Pan ( Greek πᾶν: everything, whole, total ) and Sonic stand for a global supply with good sound . Matsushita first used the Panasonic name as a brand name in Europe in 1963 , u. a. Also in Germany. On October 1, 2008, the Matsushita Group was renamed Panasonic Corporation .
For several years, a Finnish electronic music duo also carried the name Panasonic , whose name was changed to Pan Sonic after the threat of legal action .

Until 1995, bicycles, mainly racing bikes, were manufactured in Japan for the US and European markets and sold under the Panasonic label. Frame tubes from the manufacturer Tange and attachments from u. a. Sakae installed.
