Pape Paté Diouf (born April 4, 1986 in Dakar ) is a Senegalese football player . In 2012 the offensive player won the Danish national cup with FC Copenhagen .
Athletic career
Diouf played in his home country at Sporting Club de Rufisque before being brought to the Norwegian Tippeligaen in early 2006 by reigning Norwegian cup winner Molde FK . In the team around Daniel Berg Hestad , Matej Mavrič , Petter Rudi and Stian Ohr , the young player was initially mainly a substitute before he temporarily established himself as a regular player in the second half of the 2006 season . Despite his five goals this season, the club missed relegation. The stay in the Adeccoligaen lasted only one season, after the direct resurgence he established himself as a regular in the Norwegian elite series. With eleven goals this season in the 2009 season , the Senegalese , who was often used as a striker , played a decisive role in the runner-up behind Rosenborg BK . In the following year, partly due to injury, the club slipped into the second half of the table.
At the beginning of the 2011 season , Diouf fought together with Anthony Ujah from Lillestrøm SK in a duel for the top of the top scorer list. They left Norway together in the middle of the season, while Ujah moved to the German Bundesliga for 1. FSV Mainz 05 , Diouf, who had so far been successful twelve times in 14 games, was drawn to FC Copenhagen in Denmark. While Molde FK became Norwegian champions for the first time at the end of the season , the new acquisition, mainly used as winger or attacking midfield under coach Roland Nilsson and his successor Carsten Vagn Jensen , missed the fourth championship title in a row as second behind FC Nordsjælland . Nevertheless, the season was not without a title win, in the cup final against AC Horsens his teammate Claudemir scored the decisive goal for the 1-0 victory.
Diouf returned to Molde on loan in 2012. From there he was awarded to Esbjerg fB in Denmark in 2013 . In 2014 he was signed by Molde FK, but loaned to Odds BK in 2015 , where he was permanently signed in 2017.
