Paradise Valley (Montana)
The Paradise Valley is a valley of the Yellowstone River in southwestern Montana , in Park County . The valley, which is located north of Yellowstone National Park , is flanked to the east by the Absaroka Mountain Range and to the west by the Gallatin Range , a mountain range of the Rocky Mountains .
Next to the Paradise Valley is the Gallatin Valley . The mountain range of the city of Bozeman separates the two valleys. The Interstate 90 runs through these two communities. The valley runs mainly along a north-south axis, accordingly also runs the US Highway 89 , which runs through it and leads to Yellowstone National Park. Paradise Valley was the original entrance to Yellowstone, although the park now has two other entrances in Montana and Wyoming . The valley closes in the north with the city of Livingston and in the south with the Yankee Jim Canyon .
The Yellowstone River , which also runs through the valley, is used for fly fishing in the region due to its fishing grounds . Paradise Valley is also home to several hot springs , including Chico Hot Springs near Emigrant , La Duke Hot Springs near Gardiner, and Hunter's Hot Springs near Livingston.
The Mount Owen , in the Absaroka Mountains, is 3,417 meters high, the next largest mountain near the valley.
