Parbhani is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra .

The city is located 400 km east of Mumbai . It forms the capital of the district of the same name . At the 2011 census, Parbhani had 307,170 inhabitants. The national highway NH 222 ( Ahmednagar - Nanded ) runs through the city. Parbhani is on the Aurangabad – Nanded railway line .
