Parfait Mandanda (born November 10, 1989 in Nevers , France ) is a Congolese - French football goalkeeper who has been playing for Sporting Charleroi in Belgium since 2011 .

Career

Club career

Mandanda started his career at SM Caen in 1999 . In the 2006/07 season he was in the squad of the club's second team. For the 2007/08 season he moved to Girondins Bordeaux , where Mandanda was used a few times with the second team. In 2008 he joined the professional squad of his club for the first time, but was not used.

Therefore, he was awarded in the winter break of the 2008/09 season to AS Beauvais in the 3rd division in France until the end of the season. On May 29, 2009 he made his debut in the game against Aviron Bayonnais , which was lost 1-0. In July 2009, Beauvais used the purchase option in the loan deal and bought Parfait Mandanda, who made four games that season.

In the 2010/11 season he moved to Altay İzmir , where he played 12 games. In the 2011/12 season he went to Sporting Charleroi in Belgium. He made his debut on November 5, 2011 in the game against Lommel United , which was won 1-0. This season they won the second division championship and rose to the 1st division . For the 2012/13 season Mandanda was able to prevail as a regular goalkeeper. He lost his regular place to newcomer Nicolas Penneteau in the 2014/15 season and has been his deputy ever since.

National team

Initially, Mandanda played for the U-16 and U-21 teams of France, but opted for the national team of the DR Congo . On February 5, 2008 he was nominated for the first time for the game against the French B national team . Parfait only played in the 2nd half, and so missed out on playing directly against his brother Steve , who played for France in the 1st half. Mandanda was in the squad of the Congolese national team that took part in the Africa Cup of Nations 2013 in South Africa . He was also part of the national team that finished third at the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea . So far, he has completed 17 international matches for the Congolese.

All of his three brothers are also goalkeepers. Steve , born in 1985, is a French national goalkeeper and plays for the French first division club Olympique Marseille , while Riffi , born in 1992, plays for AC Ajaccio and is a former Congolese U-21 national goalkeeper. His youngest brother, Over, who was born in 1999, is under contract with Girondins Bordeaux .
