Patrick "Pat" Burke (born December 14, 1973 in Dublin , Ireland ) is a former Irish basketball player who played at the center position at a height of 2.11 m .

Pat Burke, who had already gone to high school in the United States, began his career at Auburn University in the US state of Alabama, where he played until 1997. In the summer of the same year Burke moved to the Spanish first division club TAU Cerámica where he stayed for one season. In 1998 he moved to the reigning Greek champions Panathinaikos Athens where he was under contract for three years. At Panathinaikos, Burke was able to win the first professional title of his career. In addition to three championships , he also won the European Champion's Cup in 2000 . A year later he was again with Panathinaikos in the final of a European competition, the Suproleague , but lost there with his team Maccabi Tel Aviv . After another year at Marousi Athens , he moved to the NBA for Orlando Magic for the first time . With the team from Florida Burke came to 62 games and an average of 4.3 points and 2.4 rebounds . In 2003 he returned to Europe and first played for CB Gran Canaria before moving to Real Madrid in 2004 and winning the Spanish championship there. After further stints at the Phoenix Suns and BK Chimki , where he won the Russian Cup, Burke moved in 2008 to the Polish ULEB Euroleague participant Prokom Trefl Sopot , with whom he defended the Polish championship.
