Patrice Gay

Patrice Gay (born November 14, 1973 in Bourges ) is a former French racing driver .

Career

Patrice Gay began his career in Formula Ford , where he finished fourth (Master Jean-Bernard Bouvet ) in the French Formula Ford 1600 Championship in 1993 . After finishing third in the Formula Ford 1800 Championship in 1994 (Master Soheil Ayari ), he won this French Championship in 1995. He then switched to Formula 3 , where he became French Champion in 1997 .

He competed twice in the Le Mans 24-hour race . In 1998 he drove a C51 for Courage Compétition , which failed after a leak in the radiator. In 1999 he was partner of Henri Pescarolo , who made his 33rd Le Mans start. The third driver was Michel Ferté . The trio achieved ninth place in the overall ranking in the Courage C50 .

He had his last racing season in 2000 in the Open Telefonica by Nissan . After finishing the series in fifth overall, he retired from racing at the end of the year.
